Road to Nürburgring

We will be attending to the next weekend SimRacing Expo 2016 at Nürburgring. This will be our first time in the fair and in the track and we hope to meet some good online friends there. Some press notes about the event and brands which will be sponsoring it.

“BenQ is official supplier of the SimRacing EXPO 2016

Numerous suppliers exhibit their latest virtual racing trends on September 17 and 18 at the SimRacing EXPO at Nürburgring Ring Boulevard. Sim racers will encounter experienced race professionals, who will be competing on track in reality. Race drivers and engineers have the opportunity to get an update on industry specific novelties while visitors discover interesting products and directly test the newest Racing games. A unique mixture of real racing action and virtual motorsport will be offered as the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup will be staged at the same time at Nürburgring. All kinds of legendary sports cars such as Porsche, Lamborghini, McLaren, Audi, Aston Martin, Mercedes AMG as well as BMW will be there.

All the way to the pole position with BenQ

With their Curved Gaming Monitor XR3501 expert BenQ, world market leader for displays in the field of e-sports, is official supplier of this year’s SimRacing EXPO. Thanks to its unique curve of 2000R and its ultrawide 21:9 panorama monitor the curved display is aiming at passionate simracers who will be surrounded by the digital setting of the racing game. The BenQ XR3501 has a diagonal screen of 88.9 cm /35 inch with a resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels. The high refresh rate of 144 Hz and the reaction time of 4ms GtG guarantees an optimal viewing experience and dynamic game scenes. Moreover, the proven BenQ features such as Black eQualizer or Color Vibrance together with the dynamic contrast of 20 million:1 ensure gaming pleasure at best detail level.

Participate now: ADAC SimRacing Trophy

The highlight of the SimRacing EXPO will again be the ADAC SimRacing Trophy this year. 48 of 64 participants still have the chance to enter the hot lap contest until September 5 and qualify for the competition. The remaining 16 participants will qualify on-site using one of the various simulators that are offered at the venue. The final rounds of the virtual competition will be broadcast live on the internet.”

I don’t know yet if I’ll qualify to the SimRacing Trophy, because usually don’t drive or like GT3 cars but I’ll do my best. You can check exhibitors, brands and schedule in the next link.

“More exhibitors to come to SimRacing EXPO 2016: Heusinkveld Engineering, Force2Motion and JCL

Only one week to go until the SimRacing EXPO 2016 is starting off. Simultaneously with the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup the expo will be staged on September 17th and 18th at Nürburgring. Shortly before the trade-show opens its doors the promoter ADAC Mittelrhein e.V. announces today that three more exhibitors will be showing their latest sim racing equipment: Force2Motion, Heusinkveld and JCL.

Heusinkveld Engineering, headquartered in the Netherlands, develops cutting edge simracing solutions. In terms of hardware sim pedals, sim shifters, sim handbrakes and sim rig GT simulator frame solutions are among its core products. Moreover, Heusinkveld develops software for simulators.

Force2Motion imports the motion platform Pagnian Next Level to Germany, Switzerland and Austria with the aim of establishing a new platform for racing and simulator hardware in the German speaking market. According to Force2Motion Next Motion Platform V2 eventually allows the race driver to feel every acting force realistically at an affordable prize.

The third exhibitor, JCL, is based in France and is well-known for their cockpit „to be faster“ made of 100% aluminium. Equipment of all common brands can be integrated as the cockpit is designed, compatible with a broad range of products. Furthermore the „to be faster“ is precisely adjustable in length and height to the drivers needs.”

Entrance is free and event will run through Saturday and Sunday dovetailing with Blancpain Series, and allowing us free from the virtual world with real life series.

This is an expensive and unforeseen expenditure for us (any help is welcome) so we won’t be driving Nordschleife but I’d be glad if someone take me as a co-driver for one lap 🙂

We will be back with a bunch of pictures and images of new simracing hardware, software, friends and content to write about.

See you there guys!
