Along with many of you, we will take to the Florida track in just a few hours to start the first special event of 2021 in iRacing. After the spectacular numbers of Le Mans last year, it is not surprising that they can be widely exceeded as we have seen during the week up to 800 participants daily in the preparatory races.
To have the opportunity to participate in this or future competitions you can register in iRacing for three months with discount using this link.
Fernando Alonso is ready to his first serious attempt in iRacing, after having been training since the beginning of the month with the LMP2. He will share car with Barrichello and Kanaan, along with other more experienced simracers like Olli Pahkala and Gillisen. They won’t be in the first split, so let those of you who meet them know.
Este finde me pongo el casco “virtual” en las 24h de Daytona con estos amigos . Estad atentos que os diré dónde seguirlas desde nuestra cámara onboard 🙏

We have Max Verstappen sharing a car with Dani Juncadella, who start in an unbeatable position to take the victory in the GTE category of the first split. Two people for 24 hours is a tough task, but both are more than up to the challenge.

Romain Grosjean has a very good team that he has been putting together for much of the past year and hopefully some of his entries will be fighting for victory in some of the categories. You can follow him in particular on his twitch channel during the race.
You think it's just a video game, and then, you find yourself super focus and trying to find every little details to go fast. #racingdriverlife @iRacing @r8gesports pic.twitter.com/2ITLq7aULH

There are sure to be many more drivers participating now that the preseason has not yet started. It is a privilege to be able to share the track with many of them, and we hope that there will be enough fortune for all of you to achieve your goals in this virtual race that distracts us from the hard start of the year.
Let’s enjoy!
