Well, well, well… what can I even say? Do you like stability and certainty? Tough luck! 😀 The world leaders have once again decided to make us dance to their tune. At this point in history, most people are just tired of them and wish they’d stay quiet for a few decades. I guess it’s simply human nature not to let others live in peace.
This whole situation is quite damaging for consumer spending—not just for leisure purchases, but even for basic daily survival. Filling the fridge and keeping it running is getting more expensive by the day, and gas and fuel prices have gone through the roof. It’s only a matter of time before consumption drops and people start thinking about what really matters.
In this context, AI companies are rethinking their massive investments for the coming years, and we’re starting to see early signs of component price stagnation. Not price drops, but since no one has a clue what will happen next week, who knows.
For now, everything is still expensive. The only area showing some relief is processors, with Intel facing new competition trying to poke AMD in the eye. Still, we continue to put our trust in Lisa Su—and in Mercedes as the leader of the Mario Kart championship. It’s a conservative choice, but considering even hardware seems to be shipping in beta these days, it’s probably the best move for now.
