Asetek DD10 Wheelbase Launches October 27 for €499

Asetek DD10 Wheelbase Launches October 27 for €499

Asetek Racing has confirmed that its new DD10 Direct Drive wheelbase will launch on October 27, 2026, at 11:00 CET, priced at €499 in Europe and $499 in the United States. The base delivers 10 Nm of torque through the company’s GripSense Force Feedback technology, with the option to upgrade to 14 Nm using a separately sold Boost Kit. It also features an integrated USB passthrough quick-release system and Xbox compatibility when paired with a supported Asetek steering wheel.

Originally introduced earlier this year, the DD10 received its final pricing and release date during SimRacing Expo Frankfurt 2026. The new wheelbase expands Asetek’s Direct Drive lineup with a more accessible option for sim racers upgrading from entry-level equipment. Its upgradeable design also allows users to increase torque without replacing the entire wheelbase.

10 Nm GripSense Force Feedback, Upgradeable to 14 Nm

The DD10 uses Asetek’s GripSense Force Feedback technology, which the manufacturer says is designed to reproduce changes in tyre grip and traction with greater precision. Its low-latency motor delivers up to 10 Nm of torque, while the optional Asetek Racing Wheelbase Boost Kit increases output to 14 Nm through a plug-in upgrade. The company has not yet confirmed the price or availability of this specific Boost Kit.

According to the official specifications, the DD10 features a 14-bit absolute encoder with 16,384 steps per revolution and a 96 W power supply. The wheelbase measures 133 x 132 x 262 mm and weighs 7.92 kg. It also includes five rear connections for Asetek peripherals, a USB-C connection to the PC and mounting provisions using four M6 threaded T-nuts.

Another important feature is Asetek’s zero-play quick-release system with integrated USB passthrough. This allows drivers to connect compatible Asetek steering wheels and third-party options through the appropriate quick-release hardware. Wheelbase settings and force feedback profiles can be configured using Asetek’s RaceHub software.

Xbox Compatibility, Price and Release Date

The DD10 is compatible with PC and has been designed to support Xbox consoles when paired with an Xbox-compatible Asetek Racing steering wheel. This distinction is important, as the wheelbase alone does not provide Xbox compatibility with every steering wheel. Asetek has not announced official PlayStation compatibility for the DD10.

The wheelbase will become available on October 27 at 11:00 CET, with an announced European price of €499 including 19% German VAT. In the United States, the price is $499 before applicable sales taxes. Final prices may vary depending on the customer’s country, local tax rates and shipping costs.

The DD10 will be offered with regional power plug options for Europe, the United States, the United Kingdom and Asia-Pacific markets. Availability will depend on the regional Asetek webshop, while the optional 14 Nm upgrade will be sold separately.

More information, including the complete specifications and launch details, is available on the official Asetek DD10 product page.
