We have new hardware today! Asetek Racing has launched two of its most anticipated peripherals. The Dual Mode Shifter and the Load Cell Handbrake fill a well-known gap in the company’s roster. Now, the Danish company has a full ecosystem.
Asetek Racing today announces the global launch of the Asetek Racing Load Cell Handbrake and the Asetek Racing Dual Mode Shifter. The Load Cell Handbrake delivers exact force-based control, while the Dual Mode Shifter brings precise H-pattern and sequential shifting in a single unit. Together, they are engineered for realism, reliability and total race control, so sim racing enthusiasts can own every critical moment with precision.
Both products are available today worldwide here: asetek.com. In the United States, both products are available for pre-order from today, with shipping starting early November. The first production run is a limited launch batch, designed, engineered and assembled in Denmark.
LOAD CELL HANDBRAKE: BRAKE WITH TRUE-TO-LIFE PRECISION
The Load Cell Handbrake is built for drift initiation, sharp low speed turns and consistent input across rally stages. At its core is a genuine 200 kg load cell with 16-bit resolution, which ensures ultra-precise, repeatable input and long-term stability, even under the most aggressive rally and drift sessions.
A tunable elastomer and spring resistance system delivers progressive, confidence-inspiring braking that mirrors real hydraulic braking, and lets drivers set their preferred stiffness and braking profile. At the push of a button, the handbrake switches instantly between pressure-based analog input and crisp digital on/off operation.
The handbrake mounts for left-hand or right-hand drive, in a rig or on a desk with optional table clamps, and has been tested for 1,000,000 brake cycles.
DUAL MODE SHIFTER: SHIFT MODES SEAMLESSLY
The Dual Mode Shifter combines H-pattern and sequential modes in one unit. Drivers switch between the two using the integrated selector, with toolless operation and clear LED feedback of the chosen mode, ready for whatever car, track or discipline comes next. A full 7+R gear layout covers everything from road cars to classic Le Mans racers.
The precision-engineered shifter mechanism delivers crisp, clearly defined gears with consistent resistance for confident shifting, whether slowing down or speeding up. Contactless Hall effect sensors provide ultra-precise, maintenance-free input with zero wear, and the shifter has been tested for 300,000 shift cycles. Standard M10 threads let drivers customize the shifter knob to reflect their favorite cars or driving style.
BUILT TO WORK TOGETHER
The Load Cell Handbrake and Dual Mode Shifter mount side by side using the connection bracket included with the handbrake, and both are configured in RaceHub, the Asetek Racing software that keeps every connected product up to date with automatic firmware updates. Both products work on PC with Asetek Racing hardware and most third-party sim racing setups, and on Xbox when connected to an Xbox ready Asetek Racing wheelbase and Xbox compatible Asetek

SIGNATURE SERIES: 20 OF EACH (Out of Stock as you read this)
To mark the launch, Asetek Racing releases the Load Cell Handbrake Signature Series and the Dual Mode Shifter Signature Series, limited to 20 units of each. Every unit is individually numbered and personally signed by André Sloth Eriksen, CEO and Founder of Asetek, and is priced the same as the standard version. The Signature Series is sold on a first come, first served basis, is available in all markets (US residents can buy it on Asetek’s global store) and will not
be produced again once sold out.
