Based on what we saw and played at the Assetto Corsa Evo SimRacing Expo, it seems clear that we’re looking at the big release of 2025. There isn’t much more we can take away as a novelty, since we know that development cycles for simulators are long, and most others are already in their maturity phase.
Following their model of monetization through DLCs, this won’t be the last Assetto we encounter in our lifetime. Naturally, they aim to maximize profits with ports for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series.
In this case, however, and unlike the PC release, we know virtually nothing about these versions—no dates, timelines, or specifics—only the intention to continue tapping into the 40% of the series‘ sales on consoles, which play a crucial role in balancing the books for Kunos and its parent company, Digital Bros.
It’s likely we’ll see an EVO version running on consoles in 2026. Hopefully, it will have a smoother start than Assetto Corsa Competizione did when it launched on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
