The eagerly anticipated Assetto Corsa EVO is shaping up to be a masterpiece in realistic racing simulation. The demo has already impressed fans with its high-quality visuals, authentic physics, and on-road racing mechanics.
However, some key features were notably absent.
There was no sign of off-road or dirt track racing—a feature that has gained popularity in Assetto Corsa using mods.
It’s possible that off-road content could be introduced in future updates or expansions. Developers might take inspiration from community feedback to expand the sim scope.
While the early access stays true to Assetto Corsa’s core focus on on-road racing, we can’t help but wonder if the full game might eventually venture off the beaten path.
One of the most notable omissions in the demo was the absence of a damage system. Whether players collided with barriers or other vehicles, there were no visual or mechanical repercussions.
It’s likely that the full release of Assetto Corsa EVO will be a limited damage model at the express wish of manufacturers

They just announced a one year delay and even longer for online play, it will not be a racing sim at release, it will be a crude driving game. Im confused as to their thinking, my brother just built a PC to get away from the arcade playstation racing and I believe racers who have PCs mostly want the simulation race track experience, seems that part of the product needs to be solid to attract the PC crowd. The Idea that the first release won’t have online play sounds pretty crazy, to me they seem out of touch and rudderless. Years of all these new and changing ideas but not much to show for it?
They’ve announced no such delay John. Your source is wrong. If that was official, it would be available via Official Kunos channels. Early Access is 16/1/25. Full game PC release they want to happen 8-9 months afterwards. Online isn’t there day one, just the circuit racing like that scenario from Assetto Corsa. This is why it’s called Early Access, welcome to the normal reality of such an early drive of a future game.
Yeah I’m afraid you’re short on information because they’ve delayed this game many times, by my math it’s 2 to 3 years overdue by the time it comes out
Hey John, I am really curious as to where your source is as from my brief searches there is no announcements or rumours of a delay and is set to release open beta in January 2025 and full release in autumn of 2025
Dear BoxThisLap, your following news is fake and wrong. “Given the series’ dedication to authenticity, it’s likely that the full release of Assetto Corsa EVO will include a detailed damage model.”
Kunos have already said officially, damage will be very limited – and this is down to the wish of the manufacturer’s. Marco also said officially, this is why manufacturer damage has not increased in modern times. So, opposite to what you’re pushing at sim-racers, the opposite is actually the truth. Please don’t spread misinformation. It won’t be a detailed damage model, it will be a limited damage model at the express wish of manufacturers.
