Assetto Corsa EVO: Update 0.1.5 Brings Online Multiplayer Back

The biggest highlight of this update is the return of online racing. To access multiplayer mode, simply update the game, head to settings, and enable online mode under the game options. Nevertheless, it’s a huge step toward a fully functional online experience in Assetto Corsa Evo.

A major addition in this update is the Academy, where players can earn licenses to unlock different cars and race events. Similar to systems in other sim racing games, this ensures that players meet skill requirements before entering high-level races.

It’s important to note that licenses and progress may be reset when the full Version 1.0 is released. However, for now, it’s a great way to familiarize yourself with the mechanics.

The update also introduces special events, allowing players to race iconic cars like the Mazda MX-5, Toyota, Honda, Porsche, and Alpine in unique challenges. These events provide a fun way to test different vehicles while earning in-game rewards.

Graphically, Assetto Corsa Evo 0.1.5 has made some improvements. Textures appear sharper, and the game now runs more smoothly at medium settings. However, ultra settings still suffer from optimization issues, causing occasional frame drops.

How to Enable Online Mode in Assetto Corsa Evo

If you’re having trouble enabling online play, follow these steps:

  1. Update the game via Steam.
  2. Open Settings > Game Options.
  3. Enable Online Mode and restart the game.
