Monte-Carlo Fully Laser-Scanned: A Milestone for Sim Racing
Monte-Carlo is synonymous with motorsport history. Narrow mountain roads, constant elevation changes, blind crests, and unpredictable weather can alter outcomes within just a few miles. Recreating it required the same obsessive attention to detail applied to every stage in the game: full laser scanning to capture exact road geometry, surface texture, and technical complexity at an unprecedented level of accuracy.
Update 0.3 introduces two fully laser-scanned stages:
La Bollène-Vésubie – Col de Turini (18 km)
The legendary Col de Turini demands absolute precision. Relentless elevation changes, tight hairpin sequences, and off-camber sections require meticulous throttle control and total concentration. There is no room for hesitation here.
Sisteron (13 km)
Faster and seemingly more fluid, Sisteron is deceptively challenging. Its wide roads and high average speeds contrast with critical braking zones featuring limited visibility and a rhythm that demands precise pace-note execution. If Turini punishes mistakes, Sisteron punishes overconfidence.
Dynamic Snow: A First for Rally Games
The Monte-Carlo Rally is defined by unpredictability. A stage may begin under dry sunshine and end in heavy snowfall. Assetto Corsa Rally 0.3 recreates this reality with the first true dynamic snow system ever implemented in a rally title.
Unlike traditional rally games where snow is a static environmental preset, snowfall here is simulated as a dynamic atmospheric event. Snow can occur anywhere along the stage when realistic meteorological conditions are met—precipitation combined with temperatures dropping below 32°F (0°C). Temperature varies depending on altitude, location, and time of day, while cold asphalt progressively reduces grip even before snow begins to fall.
The result is a stage that can evolve dramatically over its final miles. Currently, dynamic weather is exclusive to the Monte-Carlo stages.
Two New Cars: Rally’s Past and Present
Update 0.3 introduces two vehicles representing opposite ends of rally engineering philosophy:
Lancia Fulvia Coupé 1.6 HF
A front-wheel-drive icon powered by a 1.6-liter narrow-angle V4 producing between 115 and over 130 horsepower. The modern counterpart. Equipped with a 289-horsepower 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and all-wheel drive under FIA Rally2 regulations, it made headlines by winning on its competitive debut at the 2022 Lausitz Rally. Precise, powerful, and technologically advanced, it represents the cutting edge of top-tier rally competition just below the WRC category.
New Tire Compounds and Mixed Strategies
Dynamic conditions require dynamic strategy. Version 0.3 adds winter and snow tire compounds and introduces the ability to mix tire types across axles, mirroring real-world Monte-Carlo preparation decisions.

40 New Events and Expanded Competitive Content
