After two years of hard work at the Brazilian studio of Reiza, the “masterpiece” that required so much effort is finally available to all players. The historic Nürburgring circuit is now available in Automobilista 2 , along with other changes.
The historic 1971 version has been added to the previously released Nürburgring DLC that includes the modern versions of both Nordschleife and Grand Prix layouts. Players who already own this DLC can enjoy this historic track.
In addition to these additions to the downloadable content, a new update has been released that corrects and changes aspects of the simulator.
Patch Notes v1.4.7.1:
General:
- Fixed an occasional CTD when viewing cars from the track camera.
- Decorations on the helmets of certain drivers are now excluded from the random group of helmets for other drivers who do not have one assigned.
- A problem where the player driver was using a random helmet decoration instead of the assigned one has been revised.
- Fixed an issue where AI drivers were loaded with an incorrect helmet decoration in saved replays, multiplayer mode, and championship mode.
- Championship editor: Fixed a possible crash when exiting the class selection screen and added indication that at least one class must be selected.
- Some default values (for G-Wheel) have been altered and improved/reduced the center hit feel for some cars.
HUD and UI:
- Fixed the FR next compound button on the Edit Strategy page.
AI:
- Copa Truck: Fixed instant engine failure for some AI drivers during standing starts.
Audio:
- Increased the volume of the engine start sound effect.
- The blow-off valve sound is no longer played when RPM is very low.
- Shortened the engine shutdown sound timer; avoided artificially increasing the engine sound volume so that the start sounds more natural.
- Mini Cooper: Adjusted the external sound of player and AI cars, adjusted startup time and sound.
- Stock Car Pro Series: Fixed inconsistent tire sounds for Stock Corolla ’21, ’22, ’23.
Circuits:
- Nürburgring 1971: Completed graphic material and fixed reported issues.
- Cascais 1988: Fixed LOD on 3D animated crowds.
Vehicles:
- F-Vintage Gen 2: Tachometer orientation correction.
- McLaren MP4/5B: Steering wheel position correction to improve cockpit screen visibility; Rear wing correction that disappears at a certain distance.
- Copa Montana: Fixed windshield wiper texture issue.
