Using gloves for simracing, some people say it’s nonsense. Everything seems logical until you get your hands on a Direct Drive wheelbase and realize you have to hold on tight while exerting considerable physical effort to prevent your wrists from getting strained due to the force and vibrations. It’s time to protect yourself from blisters and calluses and preserve the Alcantara on the wheel from being flattened by sweat while maintaining cleanliness in our devices.
Gloves can help improve the driver’s grip and precision on the wheel, especially if they are specifically designed for simracing with non-slip features on the palms and fingers. They can also absorb moisture from the simracer’s hands, reducing slippage and enhancing wheel control.
In our 2023 selection, we have a variety of gloves, from competition-focused ones to those specially designed for simRacing. They come in different prices and colors to cater to your preferences.
Simracing Gloves
SimHound
From their first release in 2021, these gloves have evolved into various models according to our needs. With simRacing always in mind, they are lightweight and breathable. This year, models with external stitching have been added, making them the only simRacing gloves with this finish, resembling professional gloves. They can be purchased here for 33 euros.
F33l
Exclusively designed for simRacing, these F33L SR2 gloves are part of the extensive range of options that are based on bicycle gloves. The significant difference compared to other gloves in this price range is in the palm, where the added rubber (silicone) provides maximum grip on the wheel. You can read our review by clicking here.
Sparco
We have talked many times about the Hypergrip gloves. They are good gloves but not very durable and expensive, especially considering their current prices. Perhaps they are suitable for summer due to their breathability, but there are better alternatives. Lately, they have released a variant called Hypergrip+ which is even more expensive.
Moradness
Racing Driver Daniel Morad is a big simRacing enthusiast, and on his YouTube or Twitch channel, there are more than enough demonstrations of that. As if that wasn’t enough, he has made a range of accessories available to his followers for them to splurge their money on.
Starting from 67 euros in his store, there are more variants to choose from and the possibility of customization.
Work or Competition Gloves
Sparco
In Sparco, you can find their range for mechanics, which, although more expensive than other brands, don’t exceed the budget too much. They are comfortable and functional.
From Sparco, you naturally have a great alternative with gloves specifically designed for competition. We have even reviewed some of them here, but we don’t believe it’s worth purchasing them for home use unless you find them at a reasonable price. These Sparco Record Karting gloves cost 61 euros, less than the Hypergrip+.
Mechanix
These are work gloves similar to Sparco’s mechanic gloves, from an American brand that collaborates with many official institutions in the United States and around the world. They are used in the fields of safety, industry, and any physical work you can imagine. They are not for slender fingers or stylized hands. There are many varieties available, including ones for summer, winter, increased sensitivity, with protections, etc. You can find them all on Amazon, in all the colors you can imagine.
OMP
When it comes to buying simRacing gloves, one of the favorites is to get a cheap karting model, and these OMP gloves stand out for their attractive price in the most common size. They are not as cheap as before, but they are a basic model that is sufficient to meet the basic needs of any driver.
In the competition range, there are the One S gloves for those who want something with FIA certification at home, which currently cost 112 euros.
There are more models from OMP at slightly higher prices, such as these KS-2 Art gloves.

Another good and cheap option is baseball batting gloves. They are light and breathable, high dexterity, leather palm in many cases. The pair I have even works with touch screens!
