BMW M Motorsport and iRacing have announced that the BMW M2 CS Racing will serve as the official safety car for the 2025 iRacing Special Events season. Available free of charge to iRacing users since December, this model will lead formation laps at iconic events such as the 24 Hours of Daytona and the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
Featuring a distinctive design and a safety light bar, the BMW M2 CS Racing strengthens the long-standing partnership between BMW and iRacing. Timo Brückner of BMW M Motorsport highlighted that the car is an ideal entry point for new virtual drivers, who can eventually progress to more advanced models like the BMW M4 GT3.
Tony Gardner, president of iRacing, praised the car’s popularity among the platform’s nearly 300,000 members and emphasized how this collaboration enhances the virtual racing experience.
The BMW M2 CS Racing will make its official debut on January 18 at the iRacing Daytona 24, continuing BMW M’s legacy of excellence both on real-world tracks and in the virtual racing arena.
