Lee Mather, the director of F1 22 , says that the story mode has been removed from this version. He allows subsequent versions to continue betting on it.
F1 22 will not follow in the footsteps of Braking Point, the story mode that was the focus of the previous version’s content. The series’ director, Lee Mather, states that its absence from this season’s schedule is due to internal studio cycles, and that “it will return in the future.”
The statements appear in an interview with the gaming portal GamingBolt, in which Mather expresses his desire to continue producing this type of content. “We had a lot of success with our F1 2021 story mode, Braking Point, with both new and old players, and we’re still working on it. However, due to the bi-annual development cycles in our internal studios, it is not part of our immediate plans “remarks the director “However, rest assured that it will return in the future.” he concludes.
Some F1 22 features will not be available until July 1. The most remarkable feature is the full integration of cross-play between all systems, both in two-player career mode and in social games. Mather promises the same media that delay is due to “a circumstance” outside “his control” and that it will come “as quickly as feasible.” However, cross-play between console generations will be available on the first day.
On the other hand, the same creator assures that the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will support 4K resolution at 60 frames per second; their performance in the rest of the systems has not yet been compromised. Remember that the PC version will be fully compatible with the current generation of virtual reality devices.
Along with the standard edition, a “Champions Edition” will be available, with the contents including a three-day early access. Those who reserve it will be able to begin playing on June 28th.
