Brno Circuit (until 1994: Masarykův okruh, “Masaryk circuit”) is a 5403-meter racetrack located in Brno, Czech Republic. Its construction began in 1985 and was completed in 1987. The lap record of 1:55.799 was set by Jorge Lorenzo during the 2012 Czech Republic Motorcycling Grand Prix on a MotoGP Yamaha.
The Brno racetrack has hosted numerous international championships, such as the Formula 3 Euroseries (2004), the European Touring Car Championship (2000-2004), the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (2004-2005), the A1 Grand Prix (2006-2007), the FIA GT Championship (2000-2008, 2010), the World Motorcycle Championship (1987-1991, 1993-present) and the World Superbike Championship (1993, 1996, 2005-2012).
Previously, road races had been held in the vicinity of the city of Most: motor racing during the 1930s, and motorcycling from 1965 until the inauguration of the racetrack.
