A couple of days ago Dale Earnhardt Jr, current VP of iRacing, posted on his twitter a picture of what is the scan of the Buick LeSabre that competed in the 1987 NASCAR Cup Series season. The car will soon arrive to complete the fleet of classic NASCAR cars currently available on iRacing, the other two being the Ford Thunderbird and the Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

This Buick model only participated in two NASCAR seasons, replacing the dominant Buick Regal. However, after those two unsuccessful seasons, Buick would return to the Regal to try to build on the successes they had previously achieved without much success.
While the Buick brand has not had much success in the racing world and is not as well known commercially internationally, it is one of the flagship brands of American factories. Traditionalist NASCAR fans will surely love the fact that the classic content continues to grow.
See you on the track!
