Carlos Sainz – Sim Racing Setup

carlos sainz ferrari australia

From his time at McLaren, Carlos has retained the good friendship of almost all of its members and the home preparation advice of Lando Norris, who helped Carlos to settle in and get into the world of simulators two years ago.

We know from a stray post on Instagram that before joining Ferrari, Carlos has been completing his physical preparation with some good iRacing sessions. And that’s why we detail now the setup he has at home, very similar to that of his ex-teammate Norris at McLaren that we showed you at the time.

Max Verstappen rarely falters, but when he does, there’s Carlos Sainz ready to capitalize. He did it last year in Singapore, seizing upon Red Bull’s first sign of vulnerability, and he repeated it this Sunday at the Australian Grand Prix.

A rear brake failure on the RB20 forced the pole-sitter to retire after just four laps, and Sainz, starting second, set course for his third Formula 1 victory. It marks Verstappen’s first retirement since the 2022 edition at Albert Park.

Note: We have not received any updates for your simulator since then, therefore we are offering you new updated components similar to what you had and our Hardware guide.

As far as we know, he only has one simulator installed. It’s the Formula Simulator Model from CoolPerformance and they have a triple 27-inch screen set up that matches very well with the type of simulators he uses, such as iRacing or rFactor 2.

In the CoolPerformance cockpit everything is of a high standard. The base of the steering wheel is a high-end DD engine like the Simucube 2 Ultimate . The wheel is a Cube model. The pedals are hydraulic pedals from CoolPerformance probably similar to national models like SRP. Its sound headset is a Logitech G headset like the one used by other streamers. As you can see, the set is within the normal range for who he is.

Other F1 driver simulators:

Of course Carlos is much more difficult to see in iRacing than Verstappen or Norris, but we know he hangs around the series and events like many other professional drivers.
