Dallara P217 LMP2 coming to iRacing

In a recent publication, iRacing showed us a picture of the next Dallara LMP2 that will arrive on iRacing, and speculating a little with previous publications and the presentation of Weedsport, we dare to say that it will come out next season, but it is pure speculation.

The Dallara model is the P217 that is racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship series from 2017 to date and is being compared a lot with the Porsche 9191 Hybrid LMP1. In the actual series it competes against the Oreca 07 and Alpine A470 in its class (all using a Gibson GK428 4.2L V8 engine) although we have no news as to whether any of these will make it into service.

What we can say for sure is that with this car the HPD that ran alongside the LMP1 and GTE in the iRacing Le Mans series, will be retired and taken out of all official series and will become “Legacy” content. We also don’t know if the people who bought the HPD recently will receive it for free, we will have to wait for some official announcement.
