DiRT 5 Will Be Free on PlayStation Plus in January

Rally lovers are in luck because DIRT 5 will be among the free games available on PlayStation Plus from January 4 until February 1.

You will be able to download and play it at any time at no additional cost if you have an active PlayStation Plus membership.

DiRT 5 has a wide variety of content, both in terms of categories and cars, as well as locations and disciplines.

Within the cars we have a collection of 63 cars from the Rally cars of the 80’s to modern Rallycross cars, through utility vans to off road formula. There is a wide variety of cars available to suit all tastes, yes, each car can race in some disciplines, not all.

We have 8 different disciplines that are divided as follows:

  • Land Rush: Races in circuits of different surfaces, where we will be able to participate with trucks or pure off road cars.
  • Rally Raid: Point to point races reminiscent of classic rallies, in which we can participate with virtually all cars, both Rally and Off Road.
  • Ice Breaker: Races on ice circuits, where the main goal is to skid in all the curves and we can compete with the same cars of the Rally Raid.
  • Stampede: Races in mainly dirt tracks, where we will have spectacular jumps and fights with the same vehicles of Land Rush.
  • Path Finder: Point to point races that are based on the Off Road races of exploration and climbing of very large slopes. This game mode could have been a blast if it had been more open, not confined to a specific route. It only has one car available for it.
  • Sprint: Races in oval circuits of dirt, snow or ice. You can participate with any Rally car or the Sprint, a car that can only compete in this discipline.
  • Ultra Cross: Races on circuits with varied surfaces. It is a variation of the well-known Rally Cross, only in longer and wider circuits and with more cars. All Rally and Rally Cross cars can be raced.
  • Gymkhana: it returns since its last appearance in DiRT Showdown. These are competitions where you must score as many points as possible with stunts such as donuts, 360 turns, jumps, among others. You can compete with Rally and Rally Cross cars.

In terms of locations we have: Brazil, China, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Norway, Nepal, South Africa, Arizona and Roosevelt Island. All of them have at least 4 different events, which can be of different disciplines and some have up to 10 different events. In total we have more than 70 different events among all the locations, which if we take into account that for almost all of them we can select different car categories, we can have more than 500 different combinations.

All this without counting the virtually infinite content that the “Playgrounds” mode can offer you.

See you on the track!
