We are all a little excited about what Cammus presented through their YouTube account this week. It’s not every day that a small company launches a product with the potential to turn the market upside down, and it has made us wonder why no one has thought of something similar, or if all these ideas have already been discarded before.
To give some context, Cammus Racing’s C5 is a 5Nm Direct Drive steering wheel that incorporates all the necessary technology in the same wheel. It is a Direct Drive without a base, which could be a great idea for the entry-level range where not much power is needed and we simply take our first steps in a new hobby.
Cammus has products in other sectors, always relying on the capability of electric motors, such as karts or real cars, and this experience may have helped them come up with something new. We are excited to see how all of this turns out and whether it will end up in the drawer of brilliant ideas or just a mere curiosity.
