Following the latest news about the 2024 expansion for EA Sports WRC, the development team has released an in-depth gameplay video showcasing the expansion’s new features.
After last week’s reveal, the EA SPORTS WRC team is pleased to present a Deep Dive video, unveiling everything packed into the 2024 season expansion, set to release on October 8. The video highlights the new cars, drivers, liveries, and locations, as well as the integration of the expansion with the base game across various modes.
Five High-Performance New Vehicles
The 2024 season expansion introduces five new cars across the three main WRC categories:
WRC:
- Ford Puma Rally1 HYBRID ’24
- Hyundai i20 N Rally1 HYBRID ’24
- Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 HYBRID ’24
WRC2:
- Toyota GR Yaris Rally2
Junior WRC:
- Ford Fiesta Rally3 Evo
These latest vehicles from Toyota, Hyundai, and Ford feature the official 2024 liveries and bodywork, with handling that accurately mirrors their real-world counterparts.
Two New Locations, 24 New Stages
Two new locations will be added to the more than 600 km of unique rally stages in EA SPORTS WRC: the WRC Orlen 80th Rally Poland, returning to the Championship after a seven-year hiatus, and the WRC Tet Rally Latvia, which debuted in the WRC this year.
These locations introduce a total of 24 new stages, including four authentically recreated “hero stages”: Świętajno, Gmina Mrągowo, Vecpils, and Podnieki. Players can race in different weather conditions and at various times of the day in all game modes, offering a true test of skill under changing conditions.
New Liveries and Crews
Over 50 liveries and crews from the current season of the FIA World Rally Championship are included. All these liveries are available in all compatible game modes, with real-world driver and co-driver teams acting as AI opponents.
Two Additional Content Packs
Players who purchase the expansion will also receive two additional themed content packs: “Le Maestros” and “Hard Chargers,” arriving in Winter 2024/2025 and Spring 2025, respectively. These packs will include more content such as historic cars, liveries, classic stages, and unique moments.
EA SPORTS WRC is available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through the EA App, Epic Store, and Steam. The 2024 Season Expansion Bundle is sold separately from the base game.
