EA Sports WRC: Season 3 Reveal Trailer

Following the start of the FIA WRC’s real championship and the addition of the Central European Rally, EA Sports WRC brings us its new Season 3, offering new events and details to all players. Below is the information provided:

This update, set to release on February 13th, brings a series of new challenges and opportunities for rally enthusiasts to engage with the sport they love. Season 3 includes new Moments, 25 levels of Rally Pass, and a variety of exclusive decorations and cosmetics for players to explore.

Season 3

Starting on February 13th, a new Rally Pass will kick off, featuring a fresh set of customization items for your driver and cars. Check out these new items with our reveal trailer, which you can watch below:

Players can unlock a range of customization items by earning XP throughout the game, with a total of 20 reward levels. Pilots can unlock up to 10 items for free, along with five additional ones with EA Play, and 15 more with the VIP Rally Pass, totaling 30 items throughout the season.

If you haven’t completed Season 2 of the Rally Pass and unlocked all its rewards yet, you have until the morning of February 13th to do so before the game switches to Season 3, and all players revert to Level 1.

Season 3 Moments

The new Moments of Season 3 will not only follow the real-world 2024 season but also celebrate the rich history of WRC. Daily challenges in the game, inspired by rally legends like Paddy Hopkirk, Teemu Suninen, and Erik Cais, will test pilots’ skills in different locations and vehicles.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s to come in Season 3’s moments:

British Icon (Monte Carlo)

  • At the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally, Paddy Hopkirk secured such an iconic victory that it became one of the historical moments defining the MINI Cooper S as a car, with his triumph remaining in rally folklore to this day. The MINI Cooper S was unrivaled in these icy conditions.

Unfortunate Moment (Chile)

  • Teemu Suninen severely damaged the steering while pushing hard, forcing him to retire from the race despite the promising outlook for the Finn.

The Best of All (Mexico)

  • The coveted Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 road car was modified for rallies, achieving success early in its career as well as in other racing series. In modern times, the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 remains a true classic.

Monte-Carlo’s Defiant Defense (Monte Carlo)

  • Erik Cais started the final day of the 2022 Rallye Automobile de Monte-Carlo with a 44.5-second lead, which he maintained to win this iconic event.

WRC Prototype (Sardinia)

  • The 2017 Volkswagen Polo never made it to international competition but was extensively tested before the project concluded. Naturally, this type of surface would have been part of the testing program had it continued.

In addition to these features, a patch was released on February 8th, focusing primarily on the content and moments of Season 3 before its launch on February 13th, along with performance improvements and fixes in various locations. Furthermore, a new livery will be added to the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, representing the 2023 WRC2 champion, Andreas Mikkelsen.
