EA Sports WRC finally incorporates VR on April 30 in a free update that will function as a beta.
Electronic Arts announces an exciting addition to the EA SPORTS™ WRC gaming experience.
Starting April 30, this highly anticipated feature will be available as a free update for all PC players through Steam, Epic, and EA App using compatible headsets, providing players with a completely new way to experience the world of rallying.
EA SPORTS™ WRC is the first official FIA World Rally Championship game to offer a virtual reality experience.
The new addition is poised to take players’ WRC experience to an unparalleled level of immersion, bringing them closer than ever to the thrilling excitement of driving a rally car.
“We are thrilled about the arrival of VR to EA Sports WRC,” says Matthew Battison, creative director. “With VR, players will be able to live rallies directly through the eyes of the driver and fully immerse themselves in the challenging experience that WRC offers.
They’ll feel the adrenaline as they reach incredible speeds and face gravity-defying jumps on the unforgiving stages of asphalt, gravel, and snow, while soaking in the highly detailed environments of the game’s 18 locations.”
The addition of VR is compatible with all single-player and multiplayer modes of the game. A wide range of headsets will be compatible with EA SPORTS™ WRC, including Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, Valve Index, Oculus Rift S, Oculus CV1, and HTC Vive.
