We continue the Formula 1 season with the classic Bahrain circuit, where pre-season testing took place some time ago.
As always, the Sakhir circuit remains a benchmark in the years it has been part of F1, and Pedro de la Rosa still holds the lap record.
The Bahrain International Circuit (in Arabic: حلبة البحرين الدولية Halbat al-Bahrayn ad-Duwaliyya), also known as the Sakhir International Circuit, is a motorsport venue located in the desert region of Sakhir, within the Southern Governorate of the country, approximately 31 km from the capital, Manama. Since 2004, it has been the current host of the Bahrain Grand Prix in Formula 1, marking the first race ever held in the Middle East in the history of the sport.
