Formula 1 heads to Monaco for the eighth race of the year, following a victory by Max Verstappen at the Imola Grand Prix that wasn’t enough to put him in the lead of the championship. Oscar Piastri remains on top with 146 points, followed by Lando Norris (133) and Verstappen (124). George Russell holds a comfortable mid-table position, while the Spaniards Carlos Sainz Jr. and Fernando Alonso finished eighth and eleventh, respectively, in a weekend marked by ups and downs.
Monaco will be the next stage in the championship battle, on one of the calendar’s most iconic and decisive circuits.
