On February 24, 1989, the first stone was placed in the municipality of Montmeló for what would be known as the Circuit de Catalunya two years later. At the conclusion of the month, Formula 1 returned to the track with the 35th Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix. Since since, the track has never missed a single year of the motor racing event, and 2022 will be no exception.
This year’s Formula One World Championship is made up of 23 Grand Prix events held across the world, including Saudi Arabia, Australia, Italy, the United States, Monaco, Azerbaiyán, Canada, and others. Among them is the previously mentioned Grand Prix of Spain, which will be held at Montmeló from May 20 to 22 and will have 4.655 kilometers of length and 16 turns. Tickets for the event may be purchased on their official website.
Currently, we can enjoy the Barcelona circuit in iRacing, Assetto Corsa Ultimate , Assetto Corsa Competizione , Project Cars 2 , F1 2021 Deluxe and Gran Turismo 7. There are many versions and different well-developed configurations similar to the real world.
