SCS Software has revealed a new selection of scenic viewpoints coming to Euro Truck Simulator 2 with its Iceland DLC, scheduled for release on November 10, 2026. The latest preview, published on October 26, highlights several of the country’s most recognizable natural landmarks, including Seljalandsfoss, Gullfoss, Goðafoss, the Blue Lagoon and Stuðlagil Canyon. Players will be able to discover these locations while exploring Iceland and activate cinematic sequences showcasing the surrounding landscapes.
Viewpoints are a familiar feature in Euro Truck Simulator 2, allowing drivers to stop at designated locations and watch a short cinematic presentation of the environment. SCS Software has confirmed that Iceland will include numerous viewpoints, although the developer is deliberately keeping some locations secret for players to discover after release. The latest screenshots offer a closer look at how its map designers have recreated some of the island’s most famous attractions.
Waterfalls, Geothermal Landscapes and Basalt Canyons
One of the featured locations is Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall in southern Iceland located near the country’s famous Ring Road. Its water drops approximately 60 metres from a cliff into a pool below, making it one of the most recognizable natural landmarks included in the expansion.
Another viewpoint takes players to the Blue Lagoon on the Reykjanes Peninsula, southwest of Reykjavík. The geothermal attraction is known for its distinctive milky-blue water, which owes its appearance to the high silica content. SCS Software has recreated the lagoon and its surrounding volcanic landscape as part of the DLC.

Further east, drivers will be able to visit Gullfoss, also known as the Golden Falls. This waterfall features two separate drops into a deep canyon, creating one of Iceland’s most spectacular natural settings. In eastern Iceland, another viewpoint showcases Stuðlagil Canyon, recognized for its towering basalt columns and striking glacial river.
Near Akureyri, players can also discover Goðafoss, the Waterfall of the Gods. The location is closely associated with Icelandic history and the country’s conversion to Christianity around the year 1000. Additional viewpoints confirmed by SCS Software include Þingvellir, Geysir and Jökulsárlón, although the developer has not revealed the complete list.
Iceland DLC Launches November 10
The new preview follows SCS Software’s confirmation that the Iceland DLC will launch on November 10, 2026. The expansion will introduce 14 cities and settlements, including Reykjavík and Akureyri, connected by roads inspired by Iceland’s real-world network. Players will be able to travel along the Ring Road, exploring volcanic landscapes, glaciers, black-sand beaches and remote coastal regions.

The DLC will also introduce new delivery destinations, including custom farms, quarries and a silica factory in Húsavík. Other features include narrow single-lane bridges, realistic variations in daylight hours and the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights under suitable conditions. These additions aim to recreate Iceland’s distinctive driving environment beyond its scenic attractions.
With the release now approaching, SCS Software continues to share previews of the expansion ahead of its November debut. More screenshots and details about the new viewpoints are available in the official Iceland Viewpoints announcement, while the release date announcement includes the latest gameplay trailer.
