At the start of the week, Codemasters published an update to F1 22 version 1.10. This means that, in addition to the Ferrari special design, which will only be accessible for a few weeks, the Shanghai International Circuit is now available in selected game modes as an extra racing circuit that is not reflected in the race calendar for the 2022 season.
If you look closely at the official change log, you will note that it not only has the same number of entries as previously, but it also contains numerous bug patches for previous issues and that the AI is now meant to operate more intelligently.
The update also includes a patch that addresses issues that resulted in corrupted save files, strange force feedback behavior, and a cross-play limitation.
EA also mentions a unique in-game challenge to commemorate the Lunar Festival. The goal of the weekly event dubbed “A Bright Start for F1” is to drive Alfa Romeo F1 rookie Zhou Guanyu to his greatest ever Formula 1 race finish by overtaking Zhou Guanyu’s boyhood hero Fernando Alonso and teammate Valtteri Bottas in the final 6 laps of the Singapore Grand Prix.
From September 12 to September 25, all participants who finish the event in seventh place or above will get a customised Kohaku Koi livery. Entry is possible through the Multiplayer -> Weekly Event menu.
