EA SPORTS has detailed the sweeping changes coming to the grid with the release of the F1 25: 2026 Season Pack. According to their latest deep dive, the update will introduce the new 2026 regulation changes, launching worldwide on June 3, 2026. Here is a breakdown of the most critical additions to the simulator.

Madrid GP: The Debut of MADRING

The centerpiece of the update is the brand-new Spanish Grand Prix circuit set in Madrid, dubbed MADRING. It is the first new track added to the franchise since 2023. Key details include:

  • Layout: A 5.4 km track featuring 22 corners that blends street circuit elements with purpose-built sections.
  • Exclusivity: The circuit is specifically designed for the new regulation cars and is only playable using the 2026 machinery.

11 Teams on the Grid: Cadillac and Audi Arrive

The Formula 1 grid expands to 11 teams for the 2026 season. The pack allows players to drive the highly anticipated new contenders:

  • Cadillac: The all-American manufacturer joins the grid with an experienced veteran lineup featuring Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez.
  • Audi Revolut: The iconic German brand makes its official F1 debut.
  • Driver Transfers: Arvid Lindblad joins Liam Lawson at Racing Bulls, while Isack Hadjar steps up to partner Max Verstappen at Oracle Red Bull Racing.

Next-Gen Cars: Active Aero and 500 HP Boosts

The 2026 regulations completely overhaul vehicle handling. Players will pilot smaller, lighter cars with a heavy focus on tactical energy deployment and aerodynamics:

  • Overtake Mode: A manually deployed boost delivering nearly 500 horsepower for strategic overtakes and intense battles.
  • Active Aerodynamics: Drivers can make real-time adjustments to both front and rear wings to optimize drag and downforce on straights and corners.
  • Assists: For those who prefer to focus on the racing line, updated driving assists can manage these new complex systems behind the scenes.

Career Mode Resets and Availability

The new regulations require a fresh start. Saves from the 2025 season will not transfer, and fictional teams (Konnersport/APXGP) are incompatible with the 2026 season.

In Driver Career and My Team, players will start a new save with the updated 11-team grid, calendar, and rules. In My Team, you will enter as the 12th constructor. The new cars and track are also available across Grand Prix, Time Trial, split-screen, and unranked multiplayer modes.

Current F1 25 owners can purchase the 2026 Season Pack as an expansion, while newcomers can grab the F1 25: 2026 Season Edition, which bundles the base game and the new content.
