EA Sports has just revealed what your PC needs to run its new simulation jewel, and the word “demanding” doesn’t quite cut it. If you want to enjoy 1080p at 60 FPS with Ultra quality and Path Tracing — yes, that photo-realistic lighting straight out of a Pixar render — get ready to need an RTX 5080. I’ll say it again: an RTX 5080, for 1080p. Not 4K, not 2K. Who would’ve thought Full HD would become a luxury again?And yet, F1 25 seems to justify its appetite.
This entry isn’t just a technical leap — it’s a statement. Braking Point 3 continues its dramatic story with the fictional Konnersport Racing Team, while the revamped “My Team 2.0” mode now separates management from driving, forcing you to make realistic decisions like which driver gets upgrades first.
But it’s not all strategy and simulation. There’s also a visual feast. Tracks like Suzuka and Melbourne have been scanned with LiDAR technology, capturing bumps and curves like never before. Engine sounds now differ between manufacturers, and if you’re playing on PC, you’ll enjoy Path Tracing lighting: reflections, shadows, and details that could be mistaken for a live broadcast.
But this feast comes at a cost. And not just a financial one. Looking at the requirements for 4K — or even the absurdly ambitious 8K — makes me feel like I’m watching the starting grid from the stands with my laptop on my lap. An RTX 4090 or 5090 is required to run at 8K 60 FPS, along with upscaling and frame generation. This isn’t a game anymore — it’s a stress test for NASA.
And yet, I can’t help but smile. Because this is the essence of F1: always pushing the limits. It doesn’t matter if your PC barely scrapes the minimum specs or if you invest in a silicon beast just to see how sunlight hits your car’s halo. F1 25 is a dream of realism and attention to detail.
