F1 25 Season 5 Pays Tribute to the Year’s Biggest Moments

F1 25 TEMPORADA 5

The 2025 Formula 1 season left behind a legacy that is hard to forget: an emotional finale, a newly crowned champion, and a series of stories that defined the entire grid. Against this backdrop, F1 25 looks back to celebrate some of the most memorable episodes of the year through Season 5 of its live service, which introduces two scenario races and a refreshed version of the Podium Pass.

Under the slogan “The podium awaits”, this season will be available from January 7 to March 3 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, offering challenges inspired by real-life performances that shaped the championship.

Season 5: The Podium as the Goal

After what is considered a monumental year for the sport, the fifth season of F1 25 invites players to relive key moments starring experienced drivers, combining special challenges with exclusive rewards. At the heart of this season are two scenario races that allow players to step into the shoes of real protagonists from the 2025 campaign.

Hulkenberg at the British Grand Prix

The first of these challenges focuses on Nico Hulkenberg and his historic performance at the British Grand Prix, available throughout Season 5. After 239 races without a podium finish, the German driver finally ended one of the longest streaks in the championship in a race defined by difficult weather conditions and decisive strategic calls.

A mix of solid driving, sharp race awareness, and a touch of good fortune allowed both the driver and his team to put an end to years without trophies. In this scenario event, the objective is to recreate that moment and secure Sauber’s first podium since 2012. Completing the challenge unlocks the special pixel-style livery used by the team at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Verstappen at the Singapore Grand Prix

The second scenario race, available simultaneously, highlights Max Verstappen’s comeback during the closing stages of the 2025 season. After the Dutch Grand Prix, the driver faced a 104-point deficit, yet managed to apply pressure until the very end against the McLarens, ultimately finishing the Drivers’ Championship in second place, just two points behind champion Lando Norris.

The challenge in F1 25 is designed as a tribute to that determination. Players must fight through the field from 15th position on the demanding Singapore street circuit, with the goal of reaching the podium. Those who succeed will be rewarded with the special Racing Bulls livery used at the British Grand Prix.

Podium Pass

As with every new season, the Podium Pass has been updated with 50 progression levels, unlocked by earning experience across the game’s various modes. Rewards are split between the free and VIP tracks, both offering exclusive content.

The free track includes a full set of serrated designs for the car, race suit, and gloves, along with 2,500 PitCoin. The VIP track, meanwhile, features the Qu’est? 2 sponsor design set and a total of 6,500 PitCoin. In addition, both new and existing sponsor designs can now be used in My Team Career, expanding customization options in this popular mode.

What’s Next

Beyond the current content, the development team has already outlined some medium-term plans. Toward the end of last year, it was confirmed that the 2026 season will arrive in F1 25 as a paid expansion, aligning with the start of the next real-world championship.

As that season approaches, more details will be revealed alongside the launch of Season 6 of the live service. In the meantime, Season 5 stands as an opportunity to revisit some of the most memorable chapters of 2025 and to create new stories on the road to the podium.
