F1 Arcade: The simcenter experience in London

As we said a few months ago, rFactor 2 will be the simulation base used in the new F1 Arcade centers over the world. A luxury simulation site was developed to offer a high-standard experience to high-end customers ready to pay for these kinds of services.

Following the announcement in February, the partnership between Formula 1 and Kindred Concepts has created its first racing simulation experience center in London.

F1 Arcade will open on 24 November 2022 in the One New Change shopping center. A cocktail bar will offer refreshments, while food based on locations from the F1 calendar will be served.

It will feature 60 simulators created by cockpit manufacturer Vesaro and equipped with D-BOX haptic feedback. The venue will be available for solo or team use, where visitors will compete against each other, and the various assists can be adjusted to suit skill levels.

The driving experience will be provided by Motorsport Games’ existing proprietary simulator rFactor 2, but with licensed content created exclusively for F1 Arcade. This is the first time the platform has been used for official F1 content.

During the venue’s short teaser trailer, the Red Bull Racing RB18, McLaren Racing MCL36, and Ferrari F1-75 were shown. They use specifically designed physics (dubbed the “new gameplay experience”) to match the 2022-spec cars.

“We are delighted to offer the first of these premium and exclusive entertainment experiences right in the heart of London,” said Adam Breeden, founder, and CEO of F1 Arcade.

“It’s all the glamour of a Grand Prix weekend in your city, all year round. Cutting-edge technology, high-end food, and drink, along with stunning venue design, set a new standard.”

The waiting list for when and how to access F1 Arcade is online, and public bookings for November will open later this month. Further experiences are planned during race weekends on the official calendar of the category.
