F1 Manager 2022 is coming closer to release, and the Frontier Developments team is continuing to give us videos of the game’s development. In this example, they demonstrate the process of collecting and modeling the drivers’ faces, which will be represented in the game.
In the video, we can see how the process of collecting hundreds of images of each of the pilots in a couple of seconds and then printing those photos to the virtual 3D modeling of the drivers works. At the same time, we can observe several scenarios in the game when we can see the animation of the pilots’ faces rather than just images, and some of them are outstanding.
All of this aims to improve the immersion and experience we may have within the game by avoiding generic or handcrafted models. We’ve included the complete video, as well as comments from Alex Albon and Zhou Guanyou, from F1 Manager 2022 .
See you on the track!
