Formula 1 and Fanatec, a brand of CORSAIR (NASDAQ: CRSR), have announced a new multi-year global agreement that expands their collaboration first established in 2018. This move not only strengthens sim racing’s position within the motorsport ecosystem, but also signals the arrival of a new generation of officially licensed products designed to more accurately replicate the Formula 1 experience.

As a core part of the agreement, Fanatec will be responsible for developing the next generation of officially licensed Formula 1 peripherals. This includes sim racing steering wheels and limited-edition products aimed at bringing the technological innovations of real-world F1 cars into the home environment.

The strategy focuses on narrowing the gap between simulation and professional competition—an objective that has gained traction in recent years as sim racing evolves from a niche activity into a discipline with competitive recognition and commercial potential. The integration of F1-inspired design, ergonomics, and telemetry further reinforces this trend, positioning Fanatec as a key player in bridging both worlds.

The championship will feature a $750,000 prize pool and will be broadcast live across Formula 1’s digital platforms, enhancing its global reach and integration into the series’ broader content strategy.
