This was somehow expected. Fanatec has been working relentlessly on replacing its old direct drive wheelbases and its best-selling pedals. Today, we have the official announcement that many of us have been expecting. A new DD2 wheelbase and a new pedal set are on the way for the next year.

Fanatec, a brand of CORSAIR® (NASDAQ: CRSR) and global leader in sim racing hardware, presents the next generation of its flagship Podium Series and hosts some of the most exciting partners in the industry.

At this year’s SimRacing Expo, Fanatec revealed two highly anticipated products: the new Podium DD and the long-awaited Podium Pedals. Offering a first look at hardware prototypes in the final stages of development and testing shows Fanatec’s commitment to transparency and open communication.

The Podium DD is set to replace the Podium Wheel Base DD2 as the flagship Fanatec direct drive system. An evolution of the acclaimed ClubSport DD and ClubSport DD+, the Podium DD offers 25 Nm of genuine holding torque, revised electronics, and an all-aluminum internal and external structure. Like the ClubSport DD, the Podium DD features FullForce® technology, but its broader dynamic range and stronger internal construction allow it to deliver even finer detail and clarity from FullForce effects.

Podium Pedals is an all-new precision pedal set developed in collaboration with professional drivers. It features a forged aluminum brake pedal – an industry first – that provides ultimate strength and precision in combination with a 200 kg load cell. The innovative elastomer compression control system ensures that the brake pedal components remain within safe stress limits under all operating conditions. A special Podium Pedals Formula variant will also be available as a 2-pedal set with carbon fiber faces and heel cups.

Fanatec’s exhibit space also showcases partnerships and collaborations shaping the future of sim racing. Kunos Simulazioni chose Fanatec’s stage to reveal their latest game Assetto Corsa Rally. Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing adds a personal touch, with drivers Sebastian Job and Jarno Opmeer on hand to meet fans and share insights into elite-level competition. Trophi.ai is also present at the Fanatec stand, demonstrating its growing integration with the Fanatec App.

Additionally, Fanatec is supporting the pre-release demonstration of the upcoming Project Motor Racing game, providing sim racing hardware for GIANTS Software’s exhibition space.

The latest projects from iRacing Studios are also featured at the Fanatec stand.

Fanatec’s presence at SimRacing Expo 2025 reinforces the company’s mission to deliver industry-leading hardware, partner with other industry pioneers, and elevate the sim racing experience worldwide.
