January 15, 2026 is not a random date. The Podium DD will make its debut during one
of the first major European simulation events of the year, a perfect stage to make its message clear: this is the new standard.
It is worth clarifying this from the start:
- The Podium DD replaces the DD2 as the “big” and definitive wheelbase.
- It should not be confused with the former DD1, which was the lighter version of the DD2.
After several years since the launch of those models, this replacement felt necessary…
and it arrives with solid arguments.
25 Nm sustained, 33 Nm overshoot
This is where the Podium DD starts to speak seriously:
- 25 Nm of sustained torque
- Up to 33 Nm of overshoot to prevent loss of detail under extreme loads
In practice, this translates into constant strength, precision, and clean feedback,
even in the most demanding situations: aggressive kerbs, high aerodynamic loads, or long endurance sessions.
All of this, moreover, in a more compact format, something many setups will appreciate.
At the moment, only a few simulators take advantage of it, but the expectation is clear:
more titles will adopt this technology, adding nuances that go beyond traditional force feedback.
The price is still a mystery, but everything points to this being a wheelbase designed for those who do not want compromises.
If the DD2 already defined an era, this new model promises to define the next one.
