Fanatec’s new Podium Pedals features analysis

One of Fanatec’s best-selling products over these years has been the ClubSport Pedals. The CSP saga has gone from the primitive v1 to the evolved v3, which has accompanied us for several years. It is time to renovate the well-known pedals with a more modern approach, like the Podium Pedals.

These new pedals are available in two flavors and are expected to be released next year. We will check their features to see what has changed.

INTRODUCTION

The official announcement says:

At SimRacing Expo 2025, Fanatec revealed two highly anticipated products: the new Podium DD and the long-awaited Podium Pedals. Podium Pedals is an all-new precision pedal set developed in collaboration with professional drivers. It features a forged aluminum brake pedal – an industry first – that provides ultimate strength and precision in combination with a >200 kg load cell. The innovative elastomer compression control system ensures that the brake pedal components remain within safe stress limits under all operating conditions. A special Podium Pedals Formula variant will also be available as a 2-pedal set with carbon fiber faces and heel cups.

• Patented elastomer compression control system ensures the elastomers are never overstressed. The compressed elastomers never touch the inner rod or outer cups, resulting in a consistent feel through its full travel range, no matter how hard you push the pedal.
• The adjustment dial stack makes it easy to change physical brake characteristics.
• Adjustable pedal curves via Fanatec App save to internal memory (meaning custom curves work on consoles too).
• Every adjustment affecting travel and resistance is tool-free on all axes.
• Formula version features carbon fiber pieces and optional grip tape for an authentic feel.
• Every component and design feature was included to maximize performance.
• Angular motion of the throttle and brake pedal arms is constrained to the rising-rate zone, ensuring consistency across all the full range of settings.

Of course, these are promising characteristics, but its main concerns should be on a very fragmented market with fierce competition from very different manufacturers that fight for customer attention.
