The launch of Nvidia’s new graphics cards has been, at best, disappointing. As always, most of the stock has been scooped up by bots—those infamous ones lurking in German Discord servers—leaving only a handful (almost literally) of cards available for purchase. To make matters worse, their price-to-performance ratio in euros per frame is nearly identical to the previous generation, with the only real selling point being the artificial frame generation that enhances smoothness.
More scarcity, higher prices, and increased speculation in a market that is starting to feel increasingly frustrating. In just a decade, tech prices have tripled, with brands engaging in speculative pricing at every launch, trying to outdo competitors by offering slightly superior models. Consumers are left with hardly any competitive alternatives, while markets remain squeezed by taxes and regulations from all sides.
