About three years ago, we introduced a collaborative project between Aston Martin and Curv Racing Simulators, delving into the world of automotive simulation and simRacing. Back then, Aston Martin was on the brink of entering Formula 1 through what was then the Racing Point team, with Sebastian Vettel set to be a prominent figure. Given the €66,000 price tag of the simulator cockpit, it appeared they might have been saving up to cover his contract. Now, with Fernando Alonso wrapping up a successful season with the team, it seems like an opportune time to consider acquiring one of these beauties

By the way, the simulator that Alonso had at home was this one: Fernando Alonso and his simulator in 2021.

Aston Martin has unveiled the AMR-C01 Racing Simulator, the ultimate luxury home simulator for drivers looking to compete in the virtual or real world, marking the brand’s first foray into this arena.

The AMR-C01 represents the initial product resulting from a new collaboration between Aston Martin and the British technology company, Curv Racing Simulators.

Designed by Aston Martin and manufactured by Curv, the AMR-C01 features a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque and employs the latest technology to deliver a fully immersive driving experience for the home user. The seating position mirrors that of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, adding a futuristic hypercar feel to the simulator. Hand-assembled by Curv Racing Simulators, utilizing top-quality components and the latest Assetto Corsa software, the AMR-C01 stands ready to transport users to the thrilling world of virtual racing.

The AMR-C01 would be an elegant addition to any luxury gaming room. The simulator’s appearance is distinctive, thanks to the design work carried out by Aston Martin’s team based at their headquarters in Gaydon. Crafted from carbon fiber, the simulator’s front end resembles the grille of an Aston Martin Racing car. The AMR-C01 exudes power yet maintains the level of refinement, surface quality, and finish that customers expect from any Aston Martin. The carbon fiber monocoque provides a rigid structure, enhancing the sporty look of the simulator.

Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, commented: “This was a challenge for the design team because, while the simulator isn’t a car, it’s inspired by our racing cars. It needed to exude the same elegance, with the same dynamic lines and the same balance of proportions as any Aston Martin with a racing lineage. I can envision the AMR-C01 in the most beautiful of residences as a sculptural work of art in its own right.”

Simulated racing has experienced exponential growth during the period when real-world racing calendars were disrupted in 2020 and continues to thrive now that real racing has resumed. The AMR-C01 is the ideal choice for those who relish the virtual world of competitive sports and for dedicated racing drivers seeking to hone their skills before their next race.

Curv Racing Simulators is led by Aston Martin test driver Darren Turner, an expert in simulators with over 20 years of experience in cutting-edge Formula 1 simulation.

Turner stated, “The AMR-C01 is all about the love of racing. We’ve created a home simulator with incredible immersion that offers users the opportunity to have a blast racing in the virtual world from the comfort of their own home. Our goal was to create a simulator that provides enjoyment in both virtual and real racing. Car racing is a lot of fun, and it’s fantastic to see more people getting involved with the growth of sports racing.”

“We modeled the driving position on the Aston Martin Valkyrie so that AMR-C01 users can have the complete hypercar experience. I’m very proud of what we’ve been able to achieve, with design and engineering creating what I believe is the most beautiful home simulator available.”

Limited to only 150 units, the order book for the British-built Aston Martin AMR-C01 is now open. The simulator starts at a base price of £57,500 plus taxes. Initial deliveries are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2020. For more information, please visit: www.curvrs.com.
