Forza Horizon 5 is getting a lot of GT racing cars

We have been many months without talking about one of the most played games on Steam, but Forza Horizon 5 is getting updates week after week (like the forth installment) which is remarkable. This May, GT Racers update is filling mexican roads with some of the most astounding GT racing cars ever built.

The Apex Outpost takes the spotlight with Apex AllStars, the latest update coming to Forza Horizon 5. In Apex AllStars you’ll be able to race in some of the greatest GT cars the Horizon Festival has ever seen as the 5 new reward cars exclusive to the Festival Playlist. The highly requested Asphalt Road and elevation Props are finally here! Builders will have the greatest time adding 23 new props to their EventLab creations. Blink and you might miss the Apex AllStars Car Pack driving along this update. Collect 7 new cars built for racing across Mexico’s greatest roads. A traffic-stopping outfit and the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray appear in this update too!

Hit the Road with Your EventLab Creations.

They are finally here! Apex AllStars introduces new road pieces to add to your creations.

You will be able to build roadways with the 8 Asphalt Road Props available in this new update.

All road props come with a road-marked version, to add a bit of urban flare to your creations, and a non-marked version in case you are going with more of a track-oriented idea.

Your EventLab tracks are getting to the next level, literally, with the elevated road pieces added with this update as well. The 15 Elevated Road Props are available in both road-marked and non-road-marked versions to choose from.

Both new sets include snapping functionality!

Chevrolet’s Thunder Strikes Twice!

A hybrid thunder strikes the Horizon Festival once more to join the AllStar team that comes with this update.

Initially only available as a loyalty reward for players who played Forza Motorsport, the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray has returned! Starting April 23, the E-Ray will be permanently available in the Autoshow for 181,000 credits. Additionally, during the Festival Playlist’s fourth week, the fastest hybrid in Chevrolet’s arsenal will also be available as a reward for winning the “Going the Distance” Seasonal Championship.

An Icon of The Road Takes the First Position (in Your Wardrobe)

Apex AllStars finally gives us the chance to get in the shoes of a road racing icon with a traffic stopping outfit that arrives as a Festival Playlist reward.

Complete the Photo Challenge on the second week of the Festival Playlist to unlock the unique Traffic Cone outfit.

In the PG Editor’s Choice tab in EventLab was sorted by the number of times a course was played. This meant that new picks would be relegated to the bottom of the list. Now, the PG Editor’s Choice tab is sorted by recency, so the most recent courses chosen by the team will appear first.

This change will also mean that events will no longer be removed from the list, but rather we’re now able to continually showcase more and more of your creations and bring back some of our favorites.

2018 BMW #1 M Motorsport M8 GTE

To make their return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans after six years of absence, BMW created the most efficient engine they have ever created and trapped it to the first M8 car ever made. The result was an endurance powerhouse racer named the 2018 BMW #1 M Motorsport M8 GTE.

The M8 GTE used a BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology engine restricted to 4 liters by regulations, however this remarkable engine could produce 592 bhp. Over 700 pieces fitted into the engine came from other BMW Motorsport projects.

This car finished 5th in the 2018-2019 FIA World Endurance Championships and came in second in the 2020 IMSA SportsCar Championship results.

2015 Cadillac #3 Cadillac Racing ATS-V.R

Taking the staff from the CTS-V.R Coupe, the 2015 Cadillac #3 Cadillac Racing ATS-V.R rushes in and takes the position as Cadillac’s GT3 specialist.

The ATS-V.R was fitted with a racing version of the LF4 3.6L twin-turbo V6, but what sets it apart from its commercial counterpart are the twin BorgWarner turbochargers, engine management, and intercoolers with larger capacity; those tweaks and upgrades produce 600 bhp

Completing the fit and finish, the ATS-V.R got a body kit upgrade including new fenders, front bumper, a massive wing, and an under tray.

2020 Chevrolet #3 Corvette Racing C8.R

Lined up on the grid as Chevrolet’s latest endurance competitor, the 2020 Chevrolet #3 Corvette Racing C8.R is a former champion who is getting used to sitting on the podium.

The C8.R (racing version of the traditional mid-engine Corvette) started its path to glory in the 2020 24 Hours of Daytona during which it finished 4th in its class. The C8.R was eager to win the gold and ended up taking the entire championship that year and repeating the next one.

Built to win, the C8.R comes with a 5.5 -liter V8 engine (mounted in the middle, of course) that produces 500 horsepower- 480 pound-feet of torque. Take this car around Mexico’s and hang more medals around its mirrors

2018 Mercedes-AMG GT3

Mercedes-AMG came up with a surprise for those who thought the limit was reached with the AMG GT: the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT3, a bigger, stronger, and faster car upgraded for racing performance.

From the sheer looks of its front, you already know this ride is dangerously fast. Its enhanced version of the 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine that you can find in an SLS AMG 63 shoots up the car from 0-100 kmh in just 3 seconds.

An engine fitted low for balance and handling, electronic assistance controls for precision, and the appearance of a champion, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 is in it to win it all.

2020 Lexus #14 VASSER SULLIVAN RC F GT3

After scoring VASSER SULLIVAN’s and Lexus’ first victory at 12 Hours of Sebring 2024 in which the pilot Jack Hawksworth secured pole position with this car, the 2020 Lexus #14 VASSER SULLIVAN RC F GT3 is still hungry for more wins.

To secure this and many more trophies, the RC was fitted with a 5.4-liter V8 engine that produces around 500 bhp inside of a lightweight chassis and a body built with carbon fiber. This equation results in a GT3 car that can reach 100 kmh in just 3 seconds.

2019 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione 488 GTE

Few car makers have as rich of a racing history as Ferrari, the famous winners of multiple endurance racing events come back with a win taking the 24 Hours of Daytona with one of their best machines: the 2019 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione 488 GTE.

The 488 GTE was built with a 3.9-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine that produced over 600 horsepower and gave the car 538 lb-ft of torque. Its body, made from aluminum and carbon fiber provides a rigid but light structure to ensure every single one of those 600 bhp is put to good use.

Excelling on grip, speed, pedigree, and so much more, 2019 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione 488 GTE is waiting to take home new accolades in the Horizon Festival.

2018 Porsche 911 GT3 R

The 911 bloodline got a new heir thirsty to get set and go around the track. The 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 R is everything that makes the 911 line so legendary and a little bit more.

Powered by a new naturally aspirated 4.0-liter straight-six engine reworked to include a new crankshaft, intake manifold, and valvetrain; the GT3 R’s response and torque output is almost unmatched.

Even though this car only packs 500 bhp, the engine’s response, body panels, aerodynamics, and gearbox make this car accelerate like the greatest competitor’s you have ever seen.

Festival Playlist

This series we are featuring 5 AllStar competitors taking positions on the grid as the Festival Playlist rewards for Apex AllStars.

You will be able to unlock and race in different record-breaking GT racers and cross the checkpoints featured in the different courses located through Mexico’s fine scenery with these reward cars.

2013 Chevrolet Summit Racing Pro Stock Camaro

Presenting the 2013 Chevrolet Summit Racing Pro Stock Camaro, a dragster from Chevrolet whose call card is insane acceleration.

If you start counting to 10, by the time you reach 6 this car will have already completed a quarter mile drag race. This car’s top speed reaches 310 kmh and it won’t take long to reach it either.

The Street Scene will be happy to receive a former NHRA Series winner as you unlock the Pro Stock Camaro for 80 PTS.

2016 Ford GT #66 GTLM Le Mans

Built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ford’s amazing win at Le Mans, the 2016 Ford GT #66 GTLM Le Mans is looking to reprise the feat and bring home another gold trophy.

After their stunning 1-2-3 victory in 1966, Ford takes on the endurance challenge of Le Mans once again with a modern version of the Ford GT which included a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine. This same powertrain guaranteed wins at Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Coming out of a second-place finish at IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in 2021 and another silver medal in that same Challenge on 2023, the 2021 Hyundai #98 Bryan Herta Autosport Elantra N is looking to stand at the top of the podium on the Horizon Festival.

Hit the asphalt with this car’s 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and taste the full throttle of its amazing 350 horsepower.

2005 Mitsubishi #1 Sierra Enterprises Lancer Evolution Time Attack

The proud owner of the 7th fastest lap of the Super Lap Battle’s Unlimited Class time attack challengers, the 2005 Mitsubishi #1 Sierra Enterprises Lancer Evolution Time Attack is a handling and speed expert eager to get your name on the top of the Rivals Leaderboard.

Powered by a mostly unchanged 2.2-liter Cosworth engine that produced 716 horsepower, the car took home the Super Lap’s Unlimited AWD class in 2009 and then snatched 1st place again next year shattering the FXMD NSX’s record.
