The arrival of Forza Horizon 6 has once again put the spotlight on the wheel experience across consoles and PC. Playground Games has made several improvements to force feedback support and sim racing peripherals, allowing for more precise and natural driving compared to previous entries in the series.
Logitech G shared a new recommended setup for its direct drive wheel bases, specifically designed to balance stability, road feel, and drift control within the new Japan-inspired open world.

The setup published by Logitech aims to reduce sudden steering movements and improve grip feedback, especially in high-powered cars and rally or drift events. One of the most important changes is the use of a 1080-degree operating range combined with reduced steering sensitivity.
In addition to the hardware configuration, Logitech also detailed the in-game force feedback parameters available in Forza Horizon 6’s advanced controls menu.
The increased “Road Feel Scale” is intended to better communicate the imperfections of Japanese roads and urban areas across the map, while the lower steering sensitivity helps control rear-wheel-drive cars at high speed. Meanwhile, keeping the “Off-Road Feel Scale” lower prevents excessive vibrations during dirt and cross-country events.
Forza Horizon 6 Improves Direct Drive Wheel Support
One of the most discussed aspects since launch has been the overall improvement in wheel behavior compared to Forza Horizon 5. Manufacturers such as Fanatec and MOZA have also released official profiles and dedicated setup guides for the game, highlighting more communicative force feedback and faster countersteering response.
The settings shared by Logitech work as a well-balanced starting point for Xbox Series X|S and PC players using direct drive hardware. The combination of moderate force, low damping, and refined sensitivity helps Forza Horizon 6 feel more stable during high-speed racing, long drifts, and free-roam driving.
