Forza Horizon 6 will support full cross-save functionality across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, allowing players to carry their progress seamlessly between platforms. The feature will complement the already confirmed crossplay support, marking a significant step toward a unified ecosystem for Playground Games’ open-world racing series.
Widely regarded as one of the most anticipated racing games of 2026, Forza Horizon 6 will take the franchise to Japan, a setting long requested by the community. While the series has historically been closely associated with the Xbox brand, Forza Horizon 5 made its debut on PlayStation in 2025, paving the way for the next installment to follow a broader multi-platform strategy.
One Profile, Multiple Platforms
Cross-save support means players will be able to continue their Forza Horizon 6 career regardless of where they play, whether on console or PC. Progress made on Xbox Series X|S or PC can be carried over to PlayStation 5, and vice versa, as long as the same Microsoft account is linked to the respective platform services, such as Steam or PlayStation Network.
While many players may not actively use multiple systems, the feature provides long-term flexibility, particularly for those who may switch platforms in the future without having to restart their progression from scratch.
Staggered Release, Shared Progress
Forza Horizon 6 will launch on May 19 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, with Premium Edition owners gaining early access from May 15. The PlayStation 5 version will arrive at a later date, though players starting on Xbox or PC will still be able to transfer their progress once the PS5 release becomes available.
This staggered launch raises questions about how upcoming content packs will align across platforms. Depending on timing, PlayStation players may see adjusted Premium Edition incentives if some expansions have already released on other systems by the time the PS5 version arrives.
