Forza Horizon 6 features the largest map ever developed for any entry in the franchise. As you know, we are flying to Japan to enjoy the immense Japanese car culture and, along the way, experience all of its environments.
Japan is one of my favorite places in the world. Both its culture and its food, manners, cleanliness, and passion are things that strongly catch my attention. With this Forza Horizon installment, everyone will be able to enjoy a little more of Japanese culture, even if it is from a motoring perspective.
Very brief history of motoring in Japan
The history of motoring in the land of the rising sun is incredible. A dizzying evolution since the end of World War II has led them to dominate several markets and build legendary machines. They are masters at developing competition vehicles on both four and two wheels, and their brands are sold all over the world. Who does not know Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Suzuki, Isuzu, Lexus, Yamaha, etc.
The Map
The map recreates a fictional area of Kanto and its surroundings. The Kanto region, named after the Kanto Plain, contains the most populated metropolitan area in the world, with more than 43 million people. There we can find everything from the capital of Japan to onsen towns in the mountains such as Kusatsu.
In this fictional recreation, which aims to give us a taste of what the island nation is like, we can find large cities, vast plains, coastal areas, mountainous zones (Yep Haruna!), humid forests, coastal islands, and surely many more things.
Japan offers a significant variety of climates for an archipelago of its size. You can find everything from huge snow-capped mountains in a volcanic landscape to white sandy, tropical beaches if you travel as far as Okinawa.
There is no doubt that Playground Games will once again turn this installment into a success. The date is approaching when we will be able to drive on Japan’s intricate roads and enjoy its Japanese Domestic Cars, which have accompanied us all over the world for so many decades.
