Update 3 will be available in the game for 5 weeks before Update 4 is released in mid-January.

Game Fixes and Release Notes

Update 3 will be available for download on Xbox Series X|S, PC with Windows, and Steam starting early next week. Live content will begin activating in Career Mode, Featured Multiplayer, and Rivals starting from December 14, 2023.

Below, you can find the highlights of what will be fixed or improved in Update 3.

  • Fixed the issue where the Driver Level seemed to reset to Level 1 after downloading Update 2 and entering Test Drive in Free Mode.
  • Rebalanced the impact of front and rear downforce when being towed by another car.
  • Resolved the issue causing custom wheel input designs to reset to their default settings after relaunching the game with a controller and wheel connected to the PC or console. Editor’s Note: Although we intended to release this improvement as part of Update 3, we realized that additional time is needed to implement and test the fix. Instead, it will be introduced in a future update for Forza Motorsport.
  • Fixed the issue allowing players to sell their Cup of Constructors reward cars, preventing them from reacquiring the cars and completing their associated Reward Showcases.

We continue to focus on improving our overall quality on PC, as we know there is more work to be done there. Here are some specific PC improvements coming in Update 3:

  • Improved stability and performance on lower-spec PCs. Fixed various random crashes in multiplayer races, specifically on PCs with AMD GPUs.
  • Reduced the occurrence of an error where the track or other objects became invisible while racing.
  • We have also introduced new options in the Screen Reader section of the Accessibility Settings menu to narrate your position in the race and the names of drivers in front and behind you.

New circuit – Hockenheim

Known for its long straights and ultra-narrow final sector, Hockenheim is one of the great European tracks and has undergone many design changes since its introduction in the 1930s, the latest of which was designed by Hermann Tilke in 2002.

Set your fastest laps on the 4.5 km Full Circuit, the 3.7 km National Circuit, and the 2.5 km Short Circuit. Master all 3 designs using your favorite car builds in Time Attack with rankings available for all car classes in the game.

Forza Motorsport Update 3 will be available on all platforms on December 12, 2023.
