If there is a positive point for Sim Racing lovers is that we are full of small (and not so small) manufacturers of all kinds of hardware for simulation. For some time now it is possible to find cockpits, pedals, seats, steering wheels, button panels… and we lack bases but we have distributors and support.
We are quite lucky and our Portuguese brothers are sharing all this offer and adding new options to the market in the form of a couple of companies that we name below and that have products for sale.
Simetik
A long-established company that manufactures cockpits for simulation. The cockpits are currently based on aluminium profiles for the top of the range, while the other more accessible ones are made of steel. Their mission is to achieve comfort at home without renouncing the correct posture that is achieved in a GT. ImSim
A company that was born more than 30 years ago to provide machines to the automotive industry and in recent years is beginning to develop complete simulation cockpits looking to partner with major names in the industry such as Lamborghini.
At the simRacing Expo they revealed that they are working on pedals called Talento. They currently have simulator rentals, motion development and software to control several simulators in one room. They are located near Coimbra and their page with what they do is here.
