From Track to Gravel: EA Sports WRC Promo Continues

We have another video promoting the new EA Sports WRC that shows us that not all motor disciplines are the same… when playing with a controller

Electronic Arts Inc. debuts a new video today starring British circuit racing driver Abbie Eaton and the 2023 British Rally Champion and WRC driver Adrien Fourmaux. This is ahead of the November 3 release of EA Sports WRC, the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship, available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via EA App, Epic Store, and Steam. The ‘Rally versus Racing’ content takes players beyond the virtual world, offering a unique insight into the skills required to master a rally car and the pressures experienced by both the driver and co-driver during competition on some of the toughest terrains.

Abbie, a newcomer to multi-surface off-road racing, is put to the test both in the virtual and real world, courtesy of WRC 2023 competitor Adrien Fourmaux. Thanks to EA SPORTS WRC, the current GT driver completes various tasks as preparation for her first rally stage. Abbie learns all aspects of the co-driver’s role before switching seats with the current British rally champion.

After her first stage, Abbie Eaton stated: “You have to work much harder at this than in a GT car. The game teaches you a lot. The pace notes definitely made a difference.”

Regarding the authenticity of EA SPORTS WRC, Adrien Fourmaux commented: “When I started racing rallies, I was 22 years old. I used to play video games and learned a lot from them. It’s very similar, and now it’s even better with the new technology. It’s impressive.”

EA Sports WRC offers unparalleled realism with its new dynamic handling system, longer stages, and 50 WRC, WRC2, and FIA Junior WRC crews. Combining Unreal Engine with the physics of the DiRT Rally series, players can compete on 13 official FIA World Rally Championship circuits and five real-world-inspired stages with over 600 km of challenging asphalt, gravel, and snow tracks. Players can also create their dream vehicles through the new Builder feature and connect socially through various options, including cross-platform multiplayer for 32 players and daily updated Moments, allowing players to relive 2023 season scenarios alongside historic challenges curated by the studio.

All players who pre-order EA Sports WRC in digital format will receive up to three days of early access starting from October 31, 2023. All pre-orders include five VIP passes, each with additional post-launch content, and customized packages with decorations and clothing.

The game will be available for the main platforms for 49.99 euros and will be released on November 3, 2023.
