We woke up earlier this morning with many rumors about Gran Turismo 7. Something is moving behind the curtain and the proof is some hardware manufacturers has already shown us its licensed products. Xmas campaign would be a good selling point to put GT 7 on the market, but maybe time is to tight to be ready for this and next fiscal year (march – april) on Japan would fit Polyphony Digital purposes better.
Thrustmaster already present us its new T-GT II licensed base and steering wheel for next installment of Gran Turismo. It is licensed and it is ready for PlayStation 5 as a potential CSL DD from Fanatec would be. This last item is pretended to be ready before the end of this same year.
Through italian PlayStation Network Store, we have been able to see a new Quest for Gran Turismo 7, inviting us to see a new trailer and rewarding us with codes to participate in an open beta. Codes didn’t work and Quest has already been retired, but reward apparently was globally available, so this could be a test to put thing in place before a public release.
This potential open beta could arrive in next… days? weeks? who knows.
You must bear in mind that Gran Turismo 7 release could be similar to what we experimented with GT Sport. Not all content was available in first moment. It took until three long years to be able to get a fully and working game, as probably would be the case again. We will see what happens.
