Gran Turismo 7 is set to receive a major update at the end of September 2025, bringing five new cars to the game. These additions include a mix of concept, performance, and utility vehicles, expanding the game’s already diverse garage with some exciting and unexpected options.

Update Overview

The September 2025 update, announced via Kazunori Yamauchi’s official social media, surprises players with a substantial car pack—one of the largest single updates in recent months. The update reflects Polyphony Digital’s commitment to offering both forward-looking designs and enthusiast favorites.

New Cars Added

  • Opel Corsa GSe Vision Gran Turismo:
This is a futuristic electric concept designed specifically for the Vision Gran Turismo initiative. It showcases Opel’s new design language, features around 800 horsepower, and leverages active aerodynamics with a dynamic diffuser. The car is already being highlighted in sim-racing events.

  • Hyundai Elantra N:
The Elantra N is a 276 hp, front-wheel-drive sports sedan making its debut in the GT7 lineup. Known for its sharp styling and impressive performance, it promises to be a strong rival to cars like the Honda Civic Type R.

  • Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40:
This classic off-roader, renowned for its durability and go-anywhere reputation, joins the GT7 roster and provides players with a truly retro off-road experience. Its simple mechanical construction makes it a fan favorite for exploring dirt tracks.

  • Toyota RAV4 Hybrid (5th Generation):
The inclusion of the popular crossover—likely the fifth-generation model—brings more real-world relevance to the game, combining practicality with Toyota’s proven hybrid technology. There’s also speculation that its Suzuki-branded twin, the Suzuki Across, could appear in certain regional versions.

  • Mazda Spirit Racing Roadster 12R:
Based on the modern MX-5 (ND), this limited-edition, track-focused model features a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine with unique tuning and lightweight components. Only 200 of these exist in real life, making it an exclusive new entry.

Significance of the Update

This September update is notable for its variety, blending everyday road cars, legendary off-roaders, high-performance sedans, and futuristic concepts. These additions enhance gameplay diversity, catering both to competitive racers and car enthusiasts who appreciate unusual or historically significant vehicles.

The update continues Gran Turismo 7’s tradition of delivering content that spans the automotive spectrum—from state-of-the-art electric prototypes to beloved classics—ensuring the game remains fresh for all fans.
