Gran Turismo 7 Announces Eifel Cup With Fanatec Prizes

Gran Turismo 7 Announces Eifel Cup

Gran Turismo 7 has announced the Fanatec Gran Turismo Eifel Cup 2026, a new global online time trial competition offering sim racing hardware prizes to the fastest eligible drivers. Scheduled from November 2 to 16, the event will feature the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) ’22 at the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit. The highest-ranked eligible competitor from each of three regions will receive their choice of a Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro (8 Nm) or a Fanatec Podium Pedals Sport set.

Announced on October 26, the competition is organized by Fanatec and will be accessible directly through Gran Turismo 7’s Sport Mode. Unlike traditional online championships, drivers will compete against the clock, attempting to record their fastest valid lap on the 5.148 km Nürburgring GP layout. The event is open to players worldwide, although eligibility for physical prizes is restricted to specific countries and territories.

Three Regional Winners Will Receive Fanatec Hardware

The Fanatec Gran Turismo Eifel Cup divides eligible participants into three regions: Europe, Middle East and Africa; the Americas; and Asia-Oceania. The fastest eligible driver from each region will receive one hardware prize, with three regional winners selected in total.

Each winner will be able to choose between the Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro (8 Nm), a Direct Drive racing wheel officially licensed for Gran Turismo, and the Fanatec Podium Pedals Sport, part of the manufacturer’s premium pedal range.

To qualify for a prize, participants must be at least 18 years old when the competition begins and reside in an eligible country or territory. Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal and numerous other European countries are included, alongside eligible countries in the Americas, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Oceania.

Players under 18 can still participate in the time trial, but they cannot receive hardware prizes. Japan is also excluded from prize eligibility. If a Japanese driver finishes first in the Asia-Oceania region, the prize will instead go to the next highest-ranked eligible competitor from another country in that region.

Gran Turismo Eifel Cup Schedule and Regulations

The competition will begin on November 2 at 12:00 UTC (13:00 CET) and conclude on November 16 at the same time. Players can enter through the Online Time Trials section of the Sport pavilion on the Gran Turismo 7 World Map.

All participants will use the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) ’22, with Racing Hard tyres and predefined vehicle settings. Balance of Performance will be enabled using the mid-speed configuration, and vehicle tuning will be prohibited to maintain consistent competitive conditions.

The event will also enforce track limits and lap validity rules. Contact with walls or cutting corners will invalidate the lap time, requiring drivers to complete a clean lap to register a competitive result.

Unlike the previously announced Fanatec Eifel Trophy, which involves iRacing and Assetto Corsa EVO, the Gran Turismo Eifel Cup is a separate event taking place entirely within Gran Turismo 7. Its format focuses exclusively on global time trial rankings rather than qualifying races or multiplayer championship rounds.

The Fanatec Gran Turismo Eifel Cup 2026 begins on November 2 and remains available until November 16. Players interested in competing for the hardware prizes should review the eligibility requirements and regulations in the official Gran Turismo announcement before entering.
