As we’ve become accustomed to, Kazunori Yamauchi teases us on social media about the content that will be available next week in Gran Turismo 7 , showing the silhouette of three new vehicles.
Despite revealing these new vehicles subtly and as clues to their models, Twitter (X) users are already identifying each supposed model that will be available next week in g Gran Turismo 7 .
Toyota Hiace
The Toyota Hiace was first launched in 1967 in Japan, designed to meet the growing demand for light commercial vehicles. Over the years, it has evolved into one of the best-selling models worldwide. It is offered in various configurations, including short and long-wheelbase models. It is equipped with 2.5- and 3.0-liter diesel engines, as well as 2.0- and 2.7-liter gasoline options, paired with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. The curb weight varies depending on the configuration but typically ranges between 1,800 and 2,300 kilograms.
It can accommodate 10 to 15 passengers, depending on seat configuration, and its cargo capacity can exceed 1,200 kg. The suspension system combines a double-wishbone front suspension with a leaf-spring rear suspension.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR
Another distinguishable silhouette in the image is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR, an upgraded version of the Lancer Evolution VIII, launched in 2003. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4G63 inline-four engine, generating around 280 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque. This model features all-wheel drive (AWD) and a six-speed manual transmission. The Lancer Evolution VIII MR weighs around 1,400 kg, partly due to the use of lightweight materials such as an aluminum roof, which lowers the center of gravity to improve handling.
Technologically, it includes an Active Center Differential (ACD) and Active Yaw Control (AYC), which enhance grip in corners. This model is highly regarded in motorsports for its combination of power, precision, and reliability in competition.
Nissan GTR R35 2024
Lastly, the 2024 Nissan GT-R R35, a modern version of the legendary Japanese sports car first launched in 2007. It is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, known as the VR38DETT, which produces up to 565 horsepower in its standard version, while special editions like the NISMO version reach 600 horsepower.
The power is distributed through an all-wheel drive (AWD) system with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, optimizing acceleration and control on all surfaces. Combined with its advanced aerodynamics and adjustable suspension system, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 2.7 seconds.
