Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital have announced the release of a new content update for Gran Turismo 7, which opens 2026 by reinforcing its commitment to modern motorsport and technological diversity. Update 1.67, available to all players starting January 29, introduces three new vehicles clearly geared toward on-track performance, led by the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, the highly anticipated electric supercar from the Chinese technology giant.
The update goes beyond expanding the garage, adding new events, additional content for the GT Café, and visual enhancements to Scapes mode, further broadening the scope of the overall gameplay experience.
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra: the tech industry breaks into the automotive elite
The most striking addition in this update is undoubtedly the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, a model that symbolizes the definitive entry of the technology sector into the traditional high-performance automotive arena. Following the commercial success of its first electric sports sedan, Xiaomi has pushed its concept further with an extreme variant powered by three electric motors delivering a combined output of 1,527 hp.
The numbers place the SU7 Ultra among the global performance elite: 0–100 km/h in 1.98 seconds, a top speed of 350 km/h, and a rear motor capable of spinning up to 27,200 rpm, an unprecedented figure for a production vehicle. Dynamic performance is further supported by braking capability that brings the car to a stop from 100 km/h in 30.8 meters, along with an advanced carbon-fiber aerodynamic package designed to reduce weight and improve high-speed downforce.
Its arrival in Gran Turismo 7 reflects the simulator’s intent to represent not only the history of the automobile, but also its most recent technological transformations.
Porsche 911 GT3 R (992): competition heritage pushed to the limit
Alongside the Chinese electric hypercar, Polyphony Digital adds the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), one of the current benchmarks in GT racing. Based on the eighth generation of the iconic 911, this race-focused model debuted in 2022 as a direct evolution of Porsche’s accumulated circuit expertise.
It features a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter flat-six engine, paired with an optimized structure that makes extensive use of carbon fiber, a double-wishbone multi-link suspension setup, and a revised wheelbase to enhance stability and dynamic behavior. Its design, recognizable by the four-point LED light signature and sculpted rear lights, blends brand identity with purely competitive functionality.
Within Gran Turismo 7, this GT3 R strengthens the simulator’s most professional side, aimed at drivers seeking an experience closely aligned with real-world racing.
Hyundai Elantra N TC: a sedan engineered to win on track
The third vehicle in the update is the Hyundai Elantra N TC, a competition version derived from the Korean brand’s performance sedan. While the road-going model starts with a 276 hp turbocharged engine, this variant has been extensively reworked for exclusive circuit use.
A widened body, carbon-fiber aerodynamic elements—such as the front splitter and large rear wing—and a braking system tailored for endurance racing significantly improve cornering performance. These upgrades are complemented by a comprehensive weight-reduction program and increased structural rigidity, bringing the Elantra N TC in line with the demands of touring car racing.
New events and expanded gameplay content
Beyond the vehicles, update 1.67 introduces new Extra Menus in the GT Café, expanding the game’s narrative and collection-driven elements. On the competitive side, new events have been added to World Circuits, including World Touring Car races at iconic venues such as Nürburgring Nordschleife, Spa-Francorchamps, and Mount Panorama.
Scapes mode also receives attention with the addition of “California Roadsides” as a featured location, expanding the visual options available to virtual photography enthusiasts.
